Humanists of Miami

The purposes of the organization shall be to provide a community for atheists, agnostics, humanists, universalists, freethinkers, skeptics, naturalists and other secularists, to promote and practice the open, rational, and scientific examination of the universe and our place in it, to promote the idea that ethics and morality can be meaningfully based on rational humanistic ideals and values, to promote skeptical inquiry, organize activities, such as forums for discussion, guest speakers, and debates that educate Miami University and the surrounding community, to foster acceptance of secular people, and to advocate for the separation between church and state.
