Hillel: Association of Jewish Students
Hillel: The Association of Jewish Students provides a wide variety of social, educational, community service, religious and cultural programming for the Miami University community. Hillel designs programming with a focus on deepening the understanding of Jewish life and Jewish issues within our campus. Hillel holds Jewish holiday celebrations open to the entire Oxford community including weekly Shabbat services followed by a home cooked dinner, High Holiday services, Passover Seders and kosher for Passover meals. One of the main aspects of our mission is to ensure that all students on campus may express their identity freely. There is no one way to be Jewish at Miami. Jews at Miami are cultural, secular, Reform, Reconstructionist, Conservative, Orthodox and questioning. As a resource accessible to all students and student organizations, the Hillel Beerman Jewish Student Center, located one block from campus, houses a library, computer lab, wireless internet throughout the building, TV and game lounge, chapel, dining room, and Kosher kitchen.
