Who We Are
Miami University Student Disability Services (SDS) provides accommodations and access to students with documented disabilities in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 as amended. The SDS staff is committed to advancing and sustaining a diverse and inclusive environment for all members of the university community.
Who We Serve
We serve hundreds of students with a variety of disabilities including learning disabilities, chronic health issues, attention deficit disorders, psychological conditions, visual impairments, mobility impairments and hearing impairments. Additionally, we serve students with temporary illnesses and injuries.

How to Register with SDS
Anyone requesting accommodations due to a disability should complete an online application through Students Accessing Miami (SAM). To receive services students must self-disclose their disability, provide verifying documentation, and meet with the SDS coordinator to determine academic history and reasonable accommodations plans.
