About this Event
550 E. Spring Street, Oxford, OH 45056
In a rare reckoning with US history, President Ronald Reagan signs off on reparations for Japanese Americans imprisoned in WWII internment camps.
John Tateishi will provide critical insight into how this victory was won, and which lessons can be carried forward in today's African American and Indigenous reparations struggles. Tateishi played a key role in this win as the National Redress Director for the Japanese American Citizens League and as an internment camp survivor.
