About this Event
151 S. Campus Ave., Oxford, OH 45056
Join us as King Library hosts storytellers from the Myaamia Center who will share and discuss some Myaamia Winter Stories. Aalhsoohkaana, or Winter Stories, are only told in the wintertime. One reason this is done is because it is a way to demonstrate our respect for the animals in the stories by only telling them when they are less active, hibernating, or have migrated away for the season. After the first thunderstorm of the year hits and the Spring Peepers start to sing, Winter Storytelling season will come to a close.
