This exhibit explores the 50-year relationship between the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma and Miami University through photography, contemporary arts, and the exploration of the outcomes of this relationship.

Oxford and Miami University are located in the traditional homelands of the Myaamia people, who were forcibly removed from their homelands to what later became the state of Oklahoma.

Sharing a common name and place, the connection between the University and the Tribe has evolved into a tribally-led, university-supported collaboration built on trust, respect, and shared commitment to education.
