About this Event
Presenter: Ellen Yezierski, Center for Teaching Excellence.
This session is for those instructors interested in using the Student Assessment of Their Learning Gains (SALG) for midcourse evaluation of their course(s). The SALG is an instrument for evaluating the degree to which components of a course, ranging in specificity from individual assignments to the overall course, facilitate student learning. Participants will be introduced to the SALG using sample data from a Miami course; they will then construct a custom, ready-to-launch version of the SALG to deploy in their course to identify strengths and areas for improvement. Computer access (not smartphone only) is required for this session. This is in person only.
