About this Event
Presenters: Joyce Fernandes, Biology.
The Research Skills Development Framework, Initiated by John Willison and Kerry O' Regan (Adelaide, AU), is a tool that can be used to analyze and plan curriculum with the goal of systematically developing students’ skills. It outlines six facets of research and describes how each skill/activity manifests along a continuum based on the level of student autonomy. The RSD framework can be applied to assignments, courses, or program planning. This workshop will address how to take an existing course and apply the RSD framework to strengthen research outcomes.[Integrating Research into the curriculum - Research as Instruction-Part 1]
This is part 1 of a 4 part series. If you attend all 4 seminars, you will receive $200 in professional development funds from ORU.
