Talk w/ Editors & Agents | Annual (Virtual) Publishing Symposium

Join us for a panel discussion about what editors and agents are seeking with new writers and also how they got started in the publishing industry. Bonus:  We'll also hear from the author of the book, Before and After the Book Deal.

Masie Cochran is the Editorial Director at Tin House. She has worked on a wide range of award-winning and bestselling titles including Claire Fuller’s novel Bitter Orange; The Other Side by Lacy M. Johnson; and Dying: A Memoir by Cory Taylor. Before coming to Tin House, she worked at InkWell Management Literary Agency in New York, NY.

Jade Wong-Baxter is an agent with Francis Goldin Literary Agency. She previously worked at Massie & McQuilkin Literary Agents as a junior agent and foreign rights associate. Jade got her start in publishing at Writers House, W. W. Norton, and Folio Literary Management.

Courtney Maum is the author of the novels Costalegre (a GOOP book club pick and one of Glamour Magazine’s top books of the decade), I Am Having So Much Fun Here Without You and Touch (a New York Times Editor’s Choice and NPR Best Book of the Year selection), and the popular guidebook Before and After the Book Deal.
