Student Life Assessment Conference
Please consider joining the Division of Student Life for a professional development opportunity to build, expand, and strengthen your skills and knowledge of assessment. This half-day Assessment Conference includes sessions from foundation to implementation and is appropriate for all skill levels and experience.
When: Tuesday, January 14, 2020 9 am - 3 pm; lunch on your own
Where: Armstrong Student Center
Who: All members of the Division - graduate students, classified staff, and unclassified staff - are encouraged to attend. The morning of the conference is also open to University staff outside of the Division of Student Life who have an interest/responsibility for assessment initiatives.
The morning will provide options for breakout sessions from Student Life colleagues on assessment practices. Breakout sessions include:
- Assessment 101
- Assessment Methods
- Learning Outcomes and Strategic Planning
- Assessment 101 - part 2
- Turning Data into Stories
- Observational Skills
Following the presentations, findings from the Fall 2019 New Student Transition Survey will be presented and discussed. We will break for lunch (on your own) and Student Life staff members will reconvene for a working session on divisional and departmental goals and strategic planning.
