Virtual reality is becoming an increasingly popular platform in the entertainment industry. Applications using VR headsets are receiving a great amount of interest from those who use them.

Today, businesses are conducting employee training in VR, and the military uses VR to train warriors for the battlefield, and pilots for flights. Universities and colleges began training future surgeons, engineers, technicians, and more for solving complex problems in the real world.

Mert Bal, chair and associate professor of Engineering Technology at Miami University Regionals, will describe the evolution of VR technology, highlighting its current and future applications with an emphasis on educational applications.

Reception to follow.
