The Sport Career Exploration & Networking Expo (SCENE) is for all Miami University students and alumni seeking a full-time job, internship, part-time experience, or networking in the sports related field.  This event is an opportunity for you to present yourself professionally, in person to a potential employer, while showcasing your communication skills. Polish up your resume and don't miss the opportunity to attend.  

Nametags will be provided for students and alumni who RSVP for the event by Monday, October 17 at noon.  You are encouraged to check back often in Handshake to see what sports agencies and organizations have registered so you have ample time to view their requirements and do your research.

The keys to a successful experience are preparation and follow up. Here is a checklist to help you get prepared!

Research the list of participating employers through Handshake and their website Attend the Preparing for the SCENE event(s) To be determined: watch for the dates. Get your resume reviewed (upload to VMock for instant feedback) Prepare your 30 second introduction (elevator speech) Make sure you have a suit, padfolio, and copies of your resume! Don't forget to ask for business cards at the expo so you can follow up with thank-you notes.
