About this Event
The focus of this training is to provide participants with the fundamentals of awareness, history, language, and basic tips on how to be an ally of the LGBTQ community. Participants will define common LGBTQ+ terminology and understand the importance of using inclusive language, gain empathy and build cultural respect, and explore ways to create a more inclusive environment at Miami University. In addition, participants will learn ways they can integrate strategies for becoming an active ally of the LGBTQ+ community within their role at the University.
