The Research Skills Development Framework, initiated by John Willison and Kerry O'Regan (Adelaide, AU), is a tool that can be used to analyze and plan curriculum with the goal of systematically developing students’ skills. It outlines six facets of research and describes how each skill/activity manifests along a continuum based on the level of student autonomy. The RSD framework can be applied to assignments, courses or program planning. This workshop will address how to apply the RSD framework to strengthen research outcomes in courses.
