Begin the meeting on time. Avoid being silly. The participants may well be worried, overwhelmed, demoralized, and on the verge of burnout (and would like to not waste time). Explain the HOW in careful detail. Avoid tracking the discussion into lengthy difficult-to-follow monologues by participants who are already versed in the method the rest of us came to learn. Organize the presentation so that what is being said matches what is on the screen. Put another way, PPT slides would have been more effective that a WORD document. That said, I do have some idea of how and why to utilize peer reviews and have gained a new insight in on-line teaching by taking on the role of a student.

I learned a few things about peer reviews through Canvas but it seems to me that just doing peer reviews as assignments separately and not using Canvas peer review is much easier. The meeting was good, however, since I did learn about options for Canvas peer reviews.
