Miami students and alumni will perform spirituals and art songs composed by Black composers.

Miami art students will be presenting their works in response to the Black Lives Matter protests of the summer of 2020 via video projection. These will run on a loop during the concert and following the concert. We will have prerecorded narrations presented by Dr. Tammy Kernodle, esteemed Miami faculty.

The concert will be held outdoors on the front steps of Gates Theatre at the Center of Performing Arts on Miami’s campus.

Audience members are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to spread out at a social distance in the mall area directly north of the steps.

The concert begins at 5:30 pm on Friday October 2nd.
