Dr. Tammie Gerke brings deep secrets of the Earth to the surface explaining the nature of geographic structure and events that are extraordinarily interesting and easily understood and appreciated by an unlimited audience including geologists, scientists, students, and the general public.

Dr. Gerke Is especially compelling to watch during her talks or lectures as she enhances her teaching technique with geographic like hand gestures and imagery. Watching Dr. Gerke talk is almost like seeing her speak two languages at the same time - English and American Sign Language.

I would never have known that the majestic Mt. Rainier that we see above ground has such a massive unseen history of geographic events below the surface. I am no longer jealous of people who can afford to buy real estate with a view of Mt. Rainier. Should a catastrophic geographic event occur in the northwest region as far as Mt. Rainier territory is concerned, money cannot buy an emergency evacuation plan that includes lift off and departing Earth's atmosphere.

I highly recommend attending Dr. Gerke's National Parks Talks as often as the opportunity occurs. You will not only acquire an additional appreciation for our United State's stunningly beautiful National Parks, you will have completed Geology General Knowledge 101. Dr. Gerke rocks!
