Mother Earth's Gallery of Broken Things

April 28-May 1 2021, 7:30 pm EDT

Mother Earth's Gallery of Broken Things

A Climate Change Theatre Action

What if animals could share their experiences of our environment?  What would people from the future have to say to us right now?  What keeps us from unifying as a species so that we can take action and live in harmony with our physical world?  These questions (and more!) will be explored through dance, stories, and visual imagery as we engage satire, comedy, mythology, tragedy, audience participation, and many diverse artistic styles and voices.

Short plays will include:

Brackendale by Elaine Avila

It Begins With Me by Chantal Bilodeau

The Blue Puzzle by Claire Duffy

Failed Experiment by Vitor Jatoba

About that Chocolate Bar by Joan Lipkin

The Butterfly That Persisted by Lana I. Nasser

Blood on the Leaves by Madeline Sayet

Letter From the Ocean by Caridad Svich

We will also be debuting When they Twinkle, a new play by Miami student Tyler Creech.

Join us LIVE on the Fine Arts Quad.

The event is free, but will require a ticket to ensure safe COVID protocols.
