About this Event
Presenter: Sarah Nagle, Libraries.
Would you like to encourage active learning and increase student engagement in your courses? Makerspace projects are not just for arts or engineering students but are a great way to engage students and achieve diverse learning outcomes in any discipline. This interactive workshop will feature a tour of the Makerspace, AV Lab, and VR Lab at King Library, followed by a hands-on activity to brainstorm ways to incorporate maker-centered learning in attendees’ courses. Attendees will gain an understanding of the benefits of maker-centered learning and develop actionable plans to adopt the learning techniques in their courses.
