In this talk, presented as part of the Menard Family Center for Democracy's Dialogues on Democracy series, Jeff and Natasha Hartman -- co-founders of Ukrainian Action, a nonprofit orgainzation dedicated to the provision of humanitarian aid to people impacted by the Russia-Ukraine conflict -- will discuss their experiences in creating a multi-national nonprofit organization.  More generally, they will discuss their views of the roles and responsibilities of ordinary citizens in the promotion of democracy at home and abroad.
