HWAC Workshop Series: Teaching Writing Effectively in Online Environments

This four-part series will help faculty and graduate teaching assistants design and scaffold effective writing assignments, set up effective peer review and peer support, provide support for international students, and facilitate effective peer interactions and discussions in an online environment. Participants are encouraged to attend all four sessions but welcome to attend any number that works for them. 

All sessions will take place online, 11:40AM—1:00PM. We'll send you a Google Calendar Invite after you sign up.

Part 1: Assignment Design and Scaffolding (Tuesday, August 25 or Wednesday 26)

Part 2: Peer Response and Peer Group Support for Writing Assignments (Tuesday, Sept. 1 or Wednesday, Sept. 2)

Part 3: Supporting International Students Online  (Thursday, Sept. 3)

Part 4: Online Discussions and Student Interactions (Tuesday, Sept. 8 or Wednesday, Sept. 9)

Please be advised that each session is capped at 20 attendees.
