The allyship workshop is a reflective experience where people can examine their role in Disability Activism. We will start by discussing what involvement looks like, questioning how individual identity and experiences help us understand our place in the conversation. Afterward, we will share information on Disability Activism and resources attendees can use beyond the presentation. Throughout the presentation, we will help participants develop a plan to begin or deepen their work as an ally to the disabled community. The overall goal is to give participants the foundation they need to cultivate their own practice of allyship.

This event is sponsored by: the Miller Center for Student Disability Services, the Disability Studies Program in the Educational Psychology Department, and the Office of Transformational and Inclusive Excellence.
