"Detritus," a collection of works by Richard W. James, opens today in our Robert E. and Martha Hull Lee Gallery, Hiestand Galleries. The exhibition continues through April 1, 2022 (galleries are closed March 21-25 for Spring Break.) A reception for the artist is Tuesday, March 29, from 4-5 p.m. Joining the Miami University Department of Art in the Fall of 2021, James selected works for the exhibition from his time as a resident artist at Arrowmont School of the Arts and Crafts, The Archie Bray Foundation, his time as an Assistant Professor, Texas A&M-Corpus Cristi and this, his first year as Assistant Professor at Miami University.
