It is our pleasure to invite you to the ISA department's annual cybersecurity panel that will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 6pm - 7pm in the Taylor Auditorium FSB 1000. This year's panel discussion theme is "Cybersecurity in the Digital Era: The Collective Role of Industry Stakeholders in Developing Resiliency." We are excited to have three cybersecurity experts: Sarah Armstrong, Taryn Fisher, and Andrew Opare.
Sarah Armstrong is a Senior Cyber Intelligence Analyst at GE Aerospace, a Cincinnati-based company specializing in the production of aerospace technologies and components for aircraft and defense applications. With her educational background in Information Systems and Chinese from Miami University, she developed a solid foundation in technology and cross-cultural communication. Sarah is passionate about deciphering and mitigating cyber threats, contributing to the protection of critical aerospace systems. In her role, she works with her team to monitor and analyze digital landscapes, identify vulnerabilities, and proactively defend against potential cyberattacks.
Taryn Fisher is a Technology Consulting Manager at EY, and a seasoned cybersecurity professional focused on leading teams to help safeguard organizations against cyber threats. Her experience spans a variety of critical cyber topics including large scale vulnerability management programs, overseeing scanning operations, and leading triage and remediation efforts during cyber events.
Andrew Opare is a Cloud Security Engineer at US Bank and an incident responder for Ohio Cyber Reserve. He is a Miami University graduate and served in the Ohio National Guard.
