Course planning involves many considerations and decisions related to the students, curriculum, instructional methods, and assessments. In this workshop co-sponsored by the CTE and HWCE, you will address key assessment considerations by engaging with a new tool that facilitates a comprehensive review of the assessment techniques and materials for a course. Next, you will work with colleagues to identify ways to bolster the quality of assessment in your course to effectively document and evaluate student learning aligned with your learning goals. Bring to the session: A draft syllabus of one course for spring in addition to a few assessment tools/instruments/prompts from the course.
