This Spring, commit to self-care and wellness with the Howe Center for Writing Excellence (HCWE) every week. Join us for 30-minute chair yoga for writers with local yoga teacher Tanuja Singh. All Miami faculty, staff, and grad students are welcome. 

Sessions will take place Thursdays, 3:15PM to 3:45PM and Fridays, 11:30AM to 12:00PM. They coincide with our virtual Writing Hours, which regularly bring the Miami writing community together to support each other and focus on their writing projects. We’d be glad to have you at Writing Hours, but you’re free to join us only for chair yoga.

To attend, you must sign a waiver before your first session. Once we receive your waiver, we'll send you a recurring calendar invite for both the Thursday & Friday meetings. Join whatever sessions you'd like throughout the semester.

And if you’re not familiar with chair yoga, it’s just what it sounds like—guided motion, stretching, and breathing that doesn’t require you to leave your desk. Make sure you’ve got a sturdy, comfortable chair that doesn’t roll and, ideally, doesn’t have armrests either.
