Join your colleagues for a book discussion of acclaimed teaching scholar James Lang’s new book Distracted: Why Students Can’t Focus and What You Can Do About It (Basic Books, 2020). Lang will be the keynote speaker at the 40th annual Original Lilly Conference on College Teaching in November 2021. He is also the author of Small Teaching and Cheating Lessons: Learning from Academic Dishonesty. The book discussion will feature a brief check-in by James Lang himself!
If you are not able to attend, you must notify The Center for Teaching Excellence at least 10 days prior to the meeting and return the book. If you fail to do so, you will be charged the cost of the book.
