Miami University’s first ever Battle of the Branches will be held on Saturday, May 3 at Yager Stadium.

Co-hosted by the ROTC cadres and the veterans services team within the One Stop, this field day event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Bragging rights will be on the line as military-affiliated students and ROTC cadets compete in dodgeball, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag, gridiron dash, and tug of war.

Registration by Monday, April 21 is required to participate. You’ll be asked to indicate what branch you’d like to play for at this time.

Please note the individual events may be subject to change based on logistics constraints. The anticipated end time is around 12:30 p.m. but will be event driven.

The goal of this event is camaraderie and community building. Participants of all abilities and skill levels are encouraged to participate. Rules and guidelines for each event, along with a detailed schedule, will be sent to registrants at a later date.

Water will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring their own bottles. Participants will be requested to wear the color shirt assigned to their associated branch, which will be sent to registrants at a later date. Depending on how many registrants each receives, branches may be asked to team up.
