Nyama McCarthy-Brown (Author of "Skin Colored Pointes") is an assistant professor of Community Engagement through Dance Pedagogy at The Ohio State University and the founder of Moving for Equity, an organization designed to bring movement and the pursuit of equity together. She has been an active performer, choreographer, and educator for 15 years.
McCarthy-Brown will perform several dance works centering on the inclusion of marginalized voices and community art-making themes. The Ohio State University undergraduate and graduate dance students will be featured.
She will also debut her dance film, “Reflecting Rae.”
