American and Muslim Women's Collaboration, Winter Break, Taaruf

Taaruf in Arabic means gathering and that is just what we plan to do.  Come to the Oxford Lane Library to join in community with Muslim and non-Muslim families and friends who are staying in the Oxford area over Winter Break.  This event is open and free to anyone interested in building community and understanding around cultures and faith identities that define who we are.  This event will be a pot-luck, pitch-in gathering if you are able to bring a covered dish to share that is encouraged but a food item is not a requirement to attend.  This Taaruf is an opportunity to build a community of friendship and understanding.

All are welcome!  Children are welcome and encouraged to attend with parents. The Lane Library, Childrens Library will be open for them to play and enjoy!

Tuesday, January 14 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm

This was a lovely gathering of Miami students, staff and wonderful Muslim women and children from within the Oxford Community. The group is working on plans for Miami's World Hijab Day, February 4, 2020. Armstrong Student Center Information table #1 10am-3:00pm.,
