Adaptive Nature Walk and Handcycle Meet-up

Co-sponsored by by Cincinnati-based The Bridge Adaptive Sports & Recreation

Join Yoshi Tomoyasu, associate professor of Biology, and other Miami Biologists and Naturalists for this Nature Walk on Wheels

This Sunday morning field trip will take place mostly on paved trails through scenic autumn woods on the Oxford Area Trails (OATS) in Oxford, Ohio, but we may venture off the path to get closer to the wild.

Together with Miami University Biology members, we will explore Ohio’s native habitats, discover local wildlife and learn about the impact of invasive species.

The event is open to handcyclists, family and friends (BYOB - bring your own bike or reach out if in need of a handcycle).

Register on The Bridge registration form here (*sign up for a handcycle on the form while still available)

Other Naturalists include:

  • Dave Gorchov, professor of Biology and chair of the Miami University Natural Areas committee
  • Deidra Jacobsen,  assistant professor of Biological Sciences and director of The Conservatory
  • Zheng Li, assistant professor of Biology and Herbarium director
  • Rich Moore, professor of Biology
  • Steve Sullivan, director of Miami's Hefner Museum of Natural History
