Join a community of other Miami University students ready to chat about what they’ve been reading. This month’s topic: books by Black authors! 

This University Libraries, Black Books Matter and Center for Student Diversity & Inclusion sponsored virtual event invites participants to share and discuss books by Black authors, with a focus on fiction, through asynchronous conversations culminating in a live online discussion. 

Participants are encouraged to "bring your own book" (or books!) or select from one of the below recommended titles, provided free of charge. The first twenty registered who indicate an interest in a free book will receive a copy of one of five current, curated titles:

  • Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds
  • Pride by Ibi Zoboi
  • The Voice in My Head by Dana L. David
  • The Sound of Stars by Alechia Dow
